What you need to know

Tesla Powerwall is a battery which stores energy, allowing households to be run day and night on solar-made electricity. Its primary function is to store power generated by solar panels; however, it can be used without solar PV being present. Solar batteries compliment your renewable energy system by further increasing its efficiency levels; self-consumption can improve by up to 85%. Tesla Powerwall also enables you to continue providing power to your home or business during power cuts. You can decide what is backed up, whether it’s the whole house or only certain loads, such as a car charger. It also has the function to keep a solar system functioning in the event of a power outage, providing there is enough spare battery capacity available.
